It is my goal to find new ways to increase our sense of community within the CBDS family as well as heighten our sense of school spirit.  As I partner with the Cougar Club, we are working hard to host events that allow us to fellowship around our sports teams and unite for a common purpose.  Don’t pass up opportunities to be a part of our Spirit Committee who is responsible for developing and implementing ideas for new spirit programming to get the school and the community excited about Cougar athletics. Maybe the Golf Planning committee would be a good fit for you and would allow you to be a part of planning and executing the next Golf Tournament in the spring.  Another opportunity could be with the Business Advisory committee who is responsible for evaluating our current sponsorships and developing additional robust opportunities that will be meaningful to potential business sponsors.  Also, we are organizing a Communication committee that oversees all aspects of the club’s communication channels and marketing materials. Not only will participation with these committees bring people together, it will broaden all that we can accomplish through CBDS athletic department endeavors.
 
Ultimately, CBDS is about Christian education.  I simply want the athletic department to be a positive support for that process.  What a great gift for our athletes to leave campus upon graduation and be complimentary of a well-rounded experience.  This can’t be accomplished by a single coach or athletic director alone.  I thank our CBDS community in advance for all the time, effort and resources committed to making the 2009-2010 school year a great one!  Go Cougars!
